Randle to return to Adelaide
The Wilson Adelaide 36ers are excited to announce that star guard Jerome Randle has agreed to return to the club for the 2016/17 NBL season.
Randle took the NBL by storm when the 36ers brought him in to replace an injured Kenyon McNeail, quickly becoming a fan favourite with his slick ball handling skills, lightning speed and sweet shooting.
Randle was the first 36ers player to earn the NBL’s leading scorer honours averaging 23 points per game at an impressive 45.7 per cent.
He was also second in the League with assists, averaging 5.17 per game and was awarded the Australia Post's Fans MVP at the NBL's end of season ceremony.
“Thanks to Joey Wright and Adelaide, I found my love for the game again. I get to play with a great bunch of guys and can't wait to come back to help the Sixers win a Championship,” said Randle.
“My wife Zhordan and I love Adelaide, the people and the lifestyle is great. We are both very happy."
Adelaide 36ers CEO Guy Hedderwick is thrilled to retain the star import."After much negotiation between the club and his agent, we have received Jerome’s commitment to return to the 36ers for next season.
"He will officially sign a one-year contract with the 36ers at the end of his season in Lithuania. We look forward to an exciting 2016/17 season with Jerome back in blue."
Randle is currently playing with Euro League team BC Zalgiris Kaunas alongside former Sixer Brock Motum, and had an impressive first game scoring 19 points and five assists.
He is set to return to Adelaide in July.
