Off-Season Tracker: Overseas Update

Tom Abercrombie recently joined Turkish side Pinar Karsiyaka and has been putting up consistently good numbers. In his fourth appearance, the New Zealand Breakers swingman chipped in 11 points for a dominant 82-60 win over Konyaspor. Sydney’s Angus Brandt has taken his talents to Lithuania, and had his best game for the Neptunas yesterday with eight points and 12 rebounds. In the same League, Jerome Randle sits at the top of the ladder with Zalgiris, contributing 18 points and five boards in a recent victory over Vytautas. Also at the top of the table is Melbourne’s Hakim Warrick with the Olympiacos in Greece. He scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds in their second consecutive win over AGOR. Across the waters in Italy, his United teammate Chris Goulding netted six points for Auxilium TO in their win over Enel Brindisi, 83 – 75; while Stephen Holt  had 12 points in Spain for his Andorra side. Over in Belgium, Perth’s Jermaine Beal is still in play-off contention with BC Telenet Oostende, despite a recent 89-86 loss to Okapi Aalstar. Beal had four points and four assists off the bench, while the team sit in fifth place. Meanwhile in Puerto Rico, Cedric Jackson and Omar Samhan’s San German side faced Daniel Johnson’s Aguada in an overtime thriller. Samhan contributed 13 points and seven rebounds whilst Jackson scored nine and dished out five assists; however Johnson’s 19 points and six boards proved to be too much for San German as Aguada were able to seal the home victory 101-93. AJ Ogilvy recently announced a three-year commitment to the Illawarra Hawks, and has been putting in work for his Manati side as he leads his team in rebounds with 7.9 per game. The last two NBL MVP's Kevin Lisch and Brian Conklin are also playing in Puerto Rico, and have joined forces at the Quebradillas. Lisch top-scored with 23 points while Conklin had a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds in Wednesday's win over Ebi Ere's Arecibo side.
