NBL announces HOYTS as Official Cinema Partner
The new-look National Basketball League (NBL) today announced cinema giant HOYTS as the Official Cinema Partner for the 2015/16 NBL season. NBL General Manager Jeremy Loeliger said the NBL is pleased to connect with HOYTS as the League continues to partner with household names. “We welcome HOYTS to the NBL as our Official Cinema Partner. This relationship is very complimentary for both brands, as the NBL and HOYTS are both premium lifestyle brands that appeal to both a young demographic and families,” he said. “I look forward to creating further opportunities with HOYTS as we go forward in repositioning basketball as the number-one summer entertainment sport in Australia.” HOYTS CEO Damien Keogh said that joining the NBL strengthens their commitment to entertainment: “Cinema, just like sport, is enjoyed by people 3 to 93 and is a shared entertainment experience. “This partnership provides both HOYTS and the NBL the opportunity to engage with people who love to be entertained. We look forward to growing this partnership well into the future.” The partnership will see the NBL’s latest “HardBall” commercial played across HOYTS Australian cinemas as part of the pre-feature advertising. Fans will also have the opportunity to win HOYTS tickets across the season. Hoyts and the NBL will continue to partner on a number of consumer promotions across mutually beneficial markets, enabling HOYTS to benefit from the NBL’s four-state Australian footprint throughout the season. The NBL TVC is currently screening in HOYTS cinemas across the country.
