Will Magnay has signed a new two-year deal with the Tasmania JackJumpers, after an impressive individual season.

JackJumpers star Will Magnay has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal, keeping him at Tasmania until the end of the 2025/2026 season.

Magnay has been a star across NBL24, nominated for the league's Best Sixth Man and Defensive Player of the Year Awards.

He leads the NBL in blocks per game (1.7), and is averaging 7.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 10.4 points per game.

Magnay's recent form has been so impressive, there's even been talk of a potential return to the NBA, where he spent time with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2021.

"He’s a beast, there’s no other way to say it. He’s got his body healthy, and I think we’re only just scratching the surface of what he can do and what he can achieve here,” JackJumpers coach Scott Roth said.

"I’m excited to have his contract locked away and to continue with him as a key part of the group into the future."

Magnay and the JackJumpers will take on Perth in a bid to keep their season alive, in front of a big home crowd at MyState Bank Arena.

The game will be live on ESPN via Kayo from 2.30pm AEDT.
