King's Khazzouh ruled out for season

Sydney Kings centre Julian Khazzouh will miss the remainder of the 2015/16 NBL Season after scans on Monday revealed he will need surgery to repair a ruptured right quadriceps tendon. Khazzouh sustained the injury during the second quarter of Friday night’s game against the Illawarra Hawks at the WIN Entertainment Centre. The 29-year old will undergo surgery on Tuesday that will rule him out for the final 11 games of the season. Khazzouh has played 17 games for the Kings this season, averaging 13.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.6 assists per game. While the injury is an obvious blow to the Kings, the team and coaching staff remain determined ahead of the upcoming stretch of home games at the Sydney Kings’ new home stadium Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre. The Kings take on the New Zealand Breakers this Sunday 27 December in the first of three home games in seven days.
