The Tasmania JackJumpers have secured the services of one of their star players for a further two seasons.

The Tasmania JackJumpers have secured the services of one of their star players for a further two seasons, with All-NBL First Team selection Milton Doyle re-committing to the club on a two-year deal.

The globetrotting guard arrived at the JackJumpers ahead of NBL23, after stints in Turkey, Italy, Spain, the NBA and the NBA G-League, and quickly established himself as one of the strongest scorers in the competition.

"Milton was incredible for us this past season, and we're thrilled to have him on board for another two years," JackJumpers Co-CEO Jorrick Chivers told the club's website

"His versatility and ability to drive our systems have been invaluable, but more importantly he really upholds our humble and hungry values, both on and off the court."

Doyle linked up with Perth’s NBL23 import forward Brady Manek at Tofas SK in the Turkish Basketball Super Lig over the NBL off-season and helped lead his side to a playoff appearance.

"Following the end of his season in Turkey, we reopened up the conversations with Milton and his management and family. To be honest it was very straight forward. Milton was really eager to return to Tasmania and we were really eager to have him," Chivers said.

"Longer term contracts are a bit unusual for imports in the NBL, but we couldn’t be more confident and happy to lock Milton in for the next two seasons."

Doyle's 17.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game saw him earn the JackJumpers’ first ever All-NBL First Team nomination, and head coach Scott Roth has consistently stated re-signing the 29-year-old was the club’s biggest priority this off-season.

"I'm really excited to be staying with the JackJumpers for another two seasons," Doyle said.

"My family really loved it in Tasmania which is so important to me, and I loved everything the JackJumpers are about and feel like we can really make a run for the Championship next season.

"I’m excited to see what the group can achieve. There’s no other place I’d rather be than Tassie."

Doyle joins Josh Tomasi and Walter Brown in re-signing for the club ahead of NBL24, and will be joined by new arrivals Junior Madut and Anthony Drmic on the roster.

Jack McVeigh, Clint Steindl, Jarred Bairstow, Fabian Krslovic and Sean Macdonald are also set to return for the JackJumpers' third season in the NBL.
