Brisbane forward DJ Mitchell’s Wroclaw Slask is not going down without a fight in the Polish Basketball League. After falling 3-0 down in the best of seven Championship Series against rivals King Szczecin, Slask has rebounded to take the series to a sixth game.

After playing 22 minutes in his side’s Game 1 defeat, Mitchell hardly saw the court in the second or third games of the series – he registered just nine and two minutes respectively in the pair of defeats – but added court time for the Bullet has seen a reversal in fortunes.

Mitchell played 11 minutes in Slask’s 10-point Game 4 victory, before adding seven points in 15 minutes in a 12-point win in Game 5.

Slask are the current reigning champions of the Polish Basketball League, and have also won the most titles in the competition’s history with 18 championship wins in their 75 year history.

Mitchell has played 21 games for the Polish giants since arriving at the end of Brisbane’s NBL23 campaign, and has averaged 5.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest.

Game 6 of the series tips off on Friday at 4am AEST.
