Injury Update: Melbourne v Perth
Tonight’s top of the table clash between Melbourne United and the Perth Wildcats will see an import from both teams sidelined for the anticipated match. Perth’s Casey Prather will be benched for his knee, after experiencing pain last week at training, and is set to have a test on Saturday morning ahead of their next game against the Illawarra Hawks. The Wildcats will receive a boost from the return of Damian Martin, who is yet to play this season due to his ongoing calf injury, and will play limited minutes in his first game back. Melbourne’s Hakim Warrick will also be sidelined, after injuring his groin at practice during the week and has been placed on the short-term injury waiver list. As a result, Melbourne United will suit up Garrett Jackson, a 23-year old forward who most recently played with the North West Tasmania Thunder in SEABL. Jackson has been training with the team for most of the season, and already has an existing connection with the club, having played with point guard Stephen Holt at Saint Mary’s College. Tonight’s game will be Jackson’s first NBL outing, LIVE on FOX Sports News 500 and the NBL Live app from 7:30pm EDT. Click HERE for the game preview.
