Holt, Starks win joint NBL Blitz MVP award

The National Basketball League (NBL) is pleased to announce Stephen Holt and Markel Starks as the joint MVP winners of the 2015 NBL Blitz. Holt (Melbourne United) and Starks (Cairns Taipans) are both awarded the Ray Borner MVP Medal for leading their clubs to clean sweeps in the NBL’s annual pre-season tournament.

Each team played three games over the five-day event in Townsville, with the referees nominating a 3-2-1 vote to the most valuable player after each game. Melbourne and Cairns were the only clubs to complete the tournament 3-0 with their respective point guards earning the same allocation of votes.
