Thursday 10 December 2015/Alix Sweeney[/caption] The Townsville Crocodiles recorded some stunning wins in the 2015/16 NBL season. It's hard to forget their 21-point comeback win over the Perth Wildcats in the Jungle, or when their undermanned squad travelled to Melbourne and squashed the top-of-the-table United in Mitch Norton's 100th NBL game. But their home game against the Adelaide 36ers in Round 10 had to be seen to be believed. The game looked almost over when Adelaidewere up 96-81 halfway through the final quarter, but a reliable jumper from Clint Steindl shifted momentum. A Mitch Young basket from the post was soon followed by a strong drive and finish from Norton, before Mirko Djeric joined the party with a triple. Two minutes left and the Crocodiles were back in the game and just six points behind. Sixers superstar Jerome Randle scored a steadier for the visitors, but the "comeback kings" were far from finished. A contested three from Steindl and then another from Djeric with 45 seconds remaining cut Adelaide’s lead to two. Randle was subsequently fouled and made both, but after a time-out Djeric took a three and it never looked like missing as the Crocs got within a point. It looked for all money the Crocodiles would need to foul Adelaide on the in-bounds, but Adam Gibson’s pass was wayward, Steindl intercepted and found a wide open Nick Kay who sprinted in for the go-ahead slam. Randle missed the desperation long-range three and the Crocs clinched a one-point victory.
