Chemist Warehouse partners with NBL MVP & Awards Night

Official partner of the NBL, Chemist Warehouse, has today confirmed its naming rights support for the sport’s most prestigious event - the MVP and Awards Night to be held on February 17. Basketball’s night of night’s, the Chemist Warehouse MVP and Awards Night is the most prestigious event on the NBL calendar and will attract the best of the best in the league along with a star studded social and corporate attendance list. NBL Executive Director Larry Kestelman said the increased partnership with Chemist Warehouse highlighted the sustained and continued success the NBL was demonstrating both on and off the court in the 2015/2016 season. “We are delighted to have Chemist Warehouse join our gala night and expand their partnership with us. The event will celebrate and honour the most outstanding performances of the current NBL season. To be the best in our league our athletes need to look after both their physical and mental wellbeing. Chemist Warehouse is the premier destination for those who wish to practice a healthy, vibrant lifestyle and look after their bodies and minds so there are great synergies with our two brands.” Chemist Warehouse COO Mario Tascone said his organisation was delighted to partner with the NBL MVP and Awards Night. “We believe in the vision that Larry and his team have for the future growth of the NBL and the sport of basketball in Australia. We have seen over the past few months, how that vision is evolving. We believe the sport and its people support the pillars that Chemist Warehouse extol; health and wellbeing borne from an active and balanced lifestyle and we look forward to partnering with the NBL to put on a spectacular Chemist Warehouse MVP and Awards night.” The Chemist Warehouse MVP and Awards Night will be held at the Peninsula, Docklands on February 17. Throughout the year, coaching staff from each NBL team vote on the best performing players in every game. The votes are collated and the individual with the most votes is awarded the most prestigious award of the night; the Andrew Gaze Trophy for Most Valuable Player. Prior to the presentation of the Andrew Gaze Trophy a series of other awards will be presented during a dazzling showcase of music, basketball coverage and entertainment. These include the Lindsay Gaze Trophy, rookie of the year, best defensive player, most improved player, best sixth man, all-NBL first team, all-NBL second team and referee of the year.
