Chemist Warehouse joins the NBL for Heritage Round

The National Basketball League (NBL) is very proud that this week’s 2015/16 Heritage Round is being presented by Chemist Warehouse. All six games throughout Round 15 will feature teams suiting up in limited edition jerseys honouring that club’s heritage, with clubs to reveal their designs in the lead up to the matches. The Chemist Warehouse Heritage Round will feature exciting activities at selected venues, including activations with prizes for all participating children and half-court shots for a chance to win up to $10, 000. Chemist Warehouse Chief Operating Officer Mario Tascone commented on the expansion of the company’s designation as the NBL’s Official Health and Beauty retailer partnership to become the major sponsor of the themed round. “We couldn’t be happier to further extend our relationship with the NBL and be part of this exciting annual event. We’re looking forward to seeing the unique jerseys brighten the court, complete with a brand new Chemist Warehouse Heritage Round logo,” said Mr Tascone. “Off the court, we will be making sure the fans get to celebrate in their own way with a range of activities and giveaways to make Heritage Round all the more special for everyone.” Australia's cheapest chemist will be treating lucky fans to free gift bags full of great products, as well as free “Heritage Round” t-shirts at selected games. NBL General Manager Jeremy Loeliger is proud to have the support of Chemist Warehouse as the League commemorates its past. “We’re right in the thick of an incredible competition and leading into the first Final Series for the new NBL, it’s going to be great to take a moment and appreciate the history of this League,” he said. “This special round will be a blast from the past for sports fans, and hopefully serves as a wonderful reminder as to how far basketball has come in this country and the role that it has played as a major part of our wonderful sporting landscape for over 35 years." Round 15 begins on Wednesday 13 January when the top-of-the-table Melbourne United visit the Cairns Taipans at the Cairns Convention Centre – LIVE on FOX SPORTS Australia.
