Brisbane Bullets vs Zhejiang game report

The rebirth of Brisbane basketball is officially complete; signed, sealed and delivered with a blowout win and a Jermaine Beal long-range shooting clinic. The Bullets' new recruit was unconscious from deep with 17 points in the third quarter alone, as the Bullets blew the game out in a 36-18 term. Beal and underrated off-season acquisition Shaun Bruce (seven points, seven assists) steered the ship as the home side assisted on 32 of 40 field goals. Former Wildcat Tom Jervis had a strong outing with 17 points and 11 rebounds (six offensive), but it wasn't all good news for the maroon and whites. Energy man Torrey Craig copping a stray elbow to the eye in a rebounding contest in the fourth term and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. He will undergo a concussion test after being unable to walk off the court unassisted. It was relatively smooth sailing on the whole for the Bullets, who will next face the Kings at 7:30pm Saturday night. Zhejiang's American import Willie Warren had 16 points and four assists and was their most dangerous all night, while flashy wings Bo Liu Feng and Yubo Xia chipped in with 16 and 14 respectively. The roof was raised early as Brisbane found themselves up 24-5 after seven minutes, but Warren put his head down and got to the rack, inspiring the Golden Bulls to gain ascendency for the remainder of the first half. The Bullets won six of the possible seven competition points from the night after the 26-15 second-quarter capitulation, but as soon as Beal got his eye in – 13 points in the final six minutes of the third term – the game was beyond Zhejiang's reach. Mitch Young powered his way to the Bullets' first six points of a final term reserved for the bench unit, as the back-up bigmen had their way down low against Zhejiang's reserves. Craig brought up the century with a wing triple seven minutes from time, as the young brigade kept producing until the end.   BRISBANE BULLETS 117 (Jermaine Beal 28, Tom Jervis 17, Torrey Craig 15, Mitch Young 15) ZHEJIANG GOLDEN BULLS 73 (Willie Warren 16, Bo Liu Feng 16, Yubo Xia 14)
