Breakers sign former Warrior, G-League champion

Wednesday, October 11, 2023
Anthony Lamb has signed on with New Zealand as a replacement player, following injury to import Justinian Jessup.
The New Zealand Breakers have wasted no time in covering for the absence of injured import Justinian Jessup, signing former Golden State Warrior Anthony Lamb as a replacement.
Jessup averaged 9.5 points per game across New Zealand’s opening two games of the season, but has since been sidelined indefinitely with a pelvis injury.
Prior to playing 62 games for the Warriors last season, Lamb was a member of the Rio Grande Valley side that won the 2022 NBA G-League title under now Sydney head coach Mahmoud Abdelfattah, and also spent NBA stints playing with Houston and San Antonio.
The 25-year-old was also named the G-League’s Most Improved Player in 2021.
