FIBA have announced that the Australian Boomers will play on home soil for the first time since claiming bronze at the Tokyo Olympics as part of the World Cup Qualification "bubble" format taking place at Melbourne's John Cain Arena.

The Boomers World Cup Qualification campaign continues with games against China on June 30, followed by a match up with Japan on July 1 followed by another game against China on July 3.

Most recently an Australian team led by Rob Beveridge and made up of players abroad plus emerging NBL talent took part in a similar bubble in Japan, winning all of their games.

In addition to the Boomers games, additional fixtures featuring Group B teams including China, Chinese Taipei and Japan will take place as part of Window 3 in Melbourne.
