Understanding the NBL Finals
SEMI-FINALS
The top four teams at the end of the regular season will advance to the NBL Finals.
Series 1 – 1st vs. 4th
The team finishing in the first position at the completion of the regular season will receive homecourt advantage in their best-of-three first round matchup against the team finishing in fourth position. Series will be home-away-home subject to venue availability. The winner of this series will advance to the Grand Final.
Series 2 – 2nd vs. 3rd
The team finishing in the second position at the completion of the regular season will receive homecourt advantage in their best-of-three first round matchup against the team finishing in third position. Series will be home-away-home subject to venue availability. The winner of this series will advance to the Grand Final.
GRAND FINAL
The winner of Series 1 plays the winner of Series 2 in the best-of-three Grand Final series, with homecourt advantage being awarded to the highest remaining seed. Series will be home-away-home subject to venue availability. The winner of this series is crowned as NBL Champion.
